A credit report consists of figures. But if you only look at the figures, you often miss the full picture.
A thorough credit analysis requires an understanding of income, expenditure, property, collateral, credit structures and approval criteria. Above all, however, it requires the ability to identify connections and assess which solution is financially sound and feasible.
At Eurofinco We are looking for a Mortgage Credit Analyst who enjoys getting to the heart of a case.
Your role
You are one of the key figures in our credit operations.
You will review loan applications, assess their financial viability and support our advisers in devising the most suitable loan structure.
You look beyond an automatic calculation or a standard ratio.
What makes an application strong? What are the potential areas for concern? Which credit agency is the best fit? Could the application be structured differently? What additional information is required?
These are the questions you deal with every day.
What does that mean in practical terms?
You analyse income, expenditure, existing loans and repayment capacity.
You will assess own funds, collateral and property values.
You will be responsible for checking financial and legal documents.
You will assess which credit structure is best suited to the case.
You are familiar with and can compare the approval criteria of different credit companies.
You identify risks, ambiguities and missing information.
You actively contribute ideas on possible alternatives when a case does not fit within a standard framework.
You prepare the content of loan applications for submission.
You will liaise with credit agencies regarding specific queries.
You will liaise closely with our advisers and administrative staff.
Who are we looking for?
You don’t have to be the one who talks the most.
Someone who can quickly grasp what a case is really about.
You are analytical, critical and meticulous. You find it interesting to get to the bottom of financial situations and derive satisfaction from a report that is technically accurate and well-founded.
You have:
strong analytical skills;
an affinity for figures and financial structures;
an eye for detail without losing sight of the bigger picture;
logical and critical thinking skills;
a structured approach to work;
sense of responsibility;
a solution-focused approach.
Experience in mortgages, credit analysis, accountancy, banking or other financial services is a strong asset.
However, candidates with a strong financial background and the ambition to develop into credit specialists are also eligible.
What can you expect from Eurofinco?
This role involves much more than simply checking administrative files.
You will develop expertise in complex credit matters and gain an understanding of a wide range of financial situations and credit solutions.
We offer:
a role that is intellectually challenging;
a great deal of responsibility within the credit process;
diverse and sometimes complex credit applications;
cooperation with various credit agencies;
the opportunity to develop in-depth expertise;
support and knowledge-sharing within the team;
short lines of communication;
an attractive remuneration package tailored to your experience and expertise;
a stable professional environment in which quality takes precedence over volume.
Interested?
Do you see more than just numbers in a credit report?
And would you like to develop into a true specialist in mortgages?
